Welcome to DIY Fitted Bedrooms Delivery Information page. Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about how your furniture delivery works, what to expect, and how to prepare.
How Does Delivery Work?
Our bespoke bedroom furniture is “Made to Order,” meaning each piece is crafted specifically for you. Here's an overview of our delivery process:
Delivery Confirmation
Once your delivery is booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email specifying the date of your delivery. On the day of shipment, Matt from Double Tide, our logistics partner, will contact you to confirm your delivery window and provide an update when he is an hour away.
Delivery Methods
- Local and Larger Orders: Delivered by a driver only. Due to the weight of our solid construction furniture, an able-bodied person must be present to assist with offloading.
- Smaller or Remote Orders: Delivered via dedicated pallet service. Items are individually wrapped and the pallet will be delivered "kerbside" for you to unload and dispose of the pallet.
We will consult with you at the time of order to determine the best delivery method. Both services will be tracked and specified as AM or PM delivery.
Preparing for Your Delivery
To ensure a smooth delivery process, please take note of the following:
- Assistance Required: Our driver will need help with offloading heavy items, so please ensure someone is available to assist.
- Front Door Delivery: Deliveries are made to the front door of your property only. You’ll need to arrange for help to move the furniture into its final position.
- Parking and Access: Inform us if there is no parking available in front of your property or if there are any access restrictions in the delivery area.
- Packaging: Your furniture will arrive flat-packed with protective packaging. Each item will have a label corresponding to your order. Do not remove the packaging with labels until you are ready to assemble the item.
Upon Receipt of Your Delivery
We will call you the day after your delivery to ensure everything is in order. If any item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately. Email us at sales@diyfittedbedrooms.co.uk with photographs of the part label and damage, along with your name and delivery postcode. We will arrange for a replacement part to be manufactured and delivered to you by courier.
Important Information
- Instruction Manual: A detailed instruction manual is provided with your furniture in the fittings box. You can also view it online here.
- Delivery Coverage: We deliver to mainland England and Wales only. For areas outside these regions, please contact us to confirm delivery costs.
- Cancellation Policy: Since our furniture is made to order, there is no right to cancel.
